Beware of this Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Esquie plushie scam

Whoooo! Esquie, a specific round boy in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s universe, garnered so much popularity that malicious websites are exploiting his fame by selling unofficial plushies to make a quick buck, thus resulting in some getting scammed.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s social media manager took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and warned fans of the ongoing scams. The statement read, “We’ve noticed a number of suspicious websites popping up, claiming to sell Esquie plushies. This makes us whooo.”

The statement added, “To be clear: any third-party websites selling Esquie plushies are NOT officially licensed. Many of them are using AI-generated artwork to advertise, and we strongly recommend against purchasing from these sources. They could be scams.”

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s official X account concluded the statement with good news, revealing that the official team is working on launching official Esquie plushies as soon as possible. Additionally, the team also urged fans to be patient.

A fan jokingly wrote in response, “Fill them with wine, and I’ll pay a pretty penny!”

Another wrote, “My daughter has been on my head about it (Daddy when can I get the fluffy mask bear).”

Fun fact: An easter egg of an Esquie plushie can be found after entering one of the manor doors scattered across the game’s continent.
