Bebe Rexha unveils pregnancy loss amid Met Gala body shaming

 American singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha recently took to her official X account (formerly known as Twitter) in response to social media users who criticized and body-shamed her figure during the 2025 Met Gala.

The Grammy-winner wrote in a post on X, which has since been deleted, “I’m so tired of people commenting on my weight, I have PCOS and struggle with infertility.”

Bebe Rexha added, “I got pregnant, and it didn’t work out, and I’ve been carrying that pain in silence.” She expressed her frustration, stating that while she doesn’t owe anybody the truth, individuals should “think twice” before commenting on someone’s body image.

The response was also targeted towards Azealia Banks, who wrote on X, “Sis gives me –  hormonal birth control implant or something. It’s giving implanon/nuvaring she needs removed or depo shot that needs to stop happening (I’m not even tryna play her)”

Despite deleting the post, several social media users took to Rexha’s support with wholesome comments, wishing her a speedy recovery and defending her from online bullies.

A social media user wrote on X, “People forget celebrities are real people with real feelings.”

Another added a PCOS awareness post and outlined its effects on the human body, including Infertility, insulin resistance, weight gain, and acne.

Many also applauded the American singer for her courage to speak out against online bullies who “shame people in ignorance.”

Rexha arrived at the 2025 Met Gala rocking a slick black blazer and a bold tulle skirt in theme with the event’s “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
