Emirates Airline group announces record $6.2 billion gross annual profit

Emirates Group, which owns the Middle East’s biggest airline, announced a record annual profit of $6.2 billion before tax on Thursday, up 18 percent on the previous year.
“For 2024-25, the Emirates Group has raised the bar to set new records for profit, revenue, and cash assets,” Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said in a statement.
The results underscore a sustained rebound in global air travel, with Emirates benefiting from a surge in demand across Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
The airline, among the world’s largest by international capacity, has added new routes and increased flight frequencies amid a surge in tourism and business travel.
It carried 53.7 million passengers in the fiscal year, with seat capacity up 4 percent.
But escalating trade tensions and geopolitical uncertainty are clouding the outlook for the broader industry.
