Social media personality Dan Hentschel recently sparked concern across social media after taking to his official X account (formerly known as Twitter) with a post claiming that he will take his own life.
The post consisted of a photo with the word “Announcement” written in bold capital letters and then continued, “I have decided to end my own life. Thanks – Dan Hentschel.” The concerning post garnered more than 170,000 likes as X users swarmed the comments section in concern for the individual.
On the contrary, several others speculated about the post’s nature due to Hentchel doing something similar in the past. They described the post as a “publicity stunt” in an effort to expand his follower count and reach.

By the time of reporting, Hentschel was last seen online 15 hours ago when he made the suicidal post on Musk’s X and a questionable video on Instagram titled “ACTIVATING CHUCKLER MODE.”
A user on X wrote, “Why isn’t anyone taking this seriously?” To which another replied, “Because he’s done this before.”
Another added, “It’s Dan Hentschel.”
Most of Hentschel’s content revolves around creating caricatures of himself and other original characters through the use of satire comedy. His videos are considered disturbing to some due to their weird and unsettling nature.
A month ago, the internet personality was in hot water after local police issued an investigation on him. Hentschel made a horrifying social media post claiming that he would attempt a mass shooting at a Harford County school sparking concern. On the contrary, his followers claimed that the post in question was only shared for satirical purposes.
In the clip, Hentschel was reminiscing about his plans to attempt a mass shooting at The John Carroll School in 2013. The Los Angeles resident who was visiting Maryland at the time filmed himself talking about committing the act on the school’s premises which triggered the investigation.
Amid the investigation, Hentschel took to his Instagram account and wrote, “Hey y’all I need a lawyer!” following a screenshot of the investigation launched by the Bel Air Police Department.
