Only days after Epic Games revealed a Fortnite x Hatsune Miku collaboration, a leaker that goes by the name of ‘Wensoing’ took the internet by storm after reportedly leaking one of the most anticipated skins for the Battle Royale game.

While many users expressed their excitement about the upcoming Hatsune Miku skin, many expressed that Epic Games could’ve done a better job with her 3D model, claiming that it looks nothing like the beloved Vocaloid character.

One social media sure wrote on Musk’s X (formerly known as Twitter), “More like Hatsune mid. I don’t mind Miku but this skin looks like a**.”

“Why does she look like that? She’s been done in 3D so many times. Then Fortnite gets their hands on it and she looks like… that.”

Hatsune Miku who first debuted in 2007 isn’t just any Vocaloid singer but is considered among the best in the genre, becoming a global phenomenon and an important piece of media coming for Land of the Rising Sun, Japan.

Other leaks claim that her collaboration with Fortnite will expand beyond skins, as her arrival might feature rumored tracks including “Miku,” “Daisy 2.0,” and “¡M@GICAL CURE! ¡LOVE SHOT!,” during the game’s festival, as reported by 22 E-sports.

While receiving many criticisms from fans, the excitement for her arrival remains there as players anticipate Hatsune Miku to hit Epic’s main stage during the upcoming Fortnite Festival.
