The iPhone 17 Air, set to be released in 2025, is expected to be the thinnest iPhone ever. Also known as the iPhone 17 Slim, it will be just 6.25mm thick—25% thinner than the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16, both of which measure 6.9mm, according to South Korea’s Sisa Journal.

The company previously stated that the new smartphone could be released around September 2025.

The iPhone 17 Air will start at $899, making it both affordable and compact—marking 2025 as a standout year for Apple.

Sources reveal that no Plus models will be launched with the iPhone 17 Air this fall. The screen size will range from 6.1 to 6.7 inches, and the battery is expected to be smaller than previous models, potentially affecting battery life.

Additionally, the iPhone 17 Air will feature a single headphone jack, according to MacRumors. One of the unique features of the iPhone 17 Air is its exclusive reliance on eSIMs, as Apple focuses on advancing communication technologies.

Recent leaks suggest that the iPhone 17 Air will feature a 24-megapixel front camera—double the resolution of the iPhone 16 series. It will also be powered by Apple’s new A19 processor, with up to 8GB of RAM, boosting performance and speed.
