Syria rebels seize key town of Saraqib: Monitor
Syrian opposition fighters wrested the key Syrian town of Saraqib from government forces on Friday, as the two sides battled for control of the northwest of the country, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
Saraqib is strategically located in Idlib province, and its takeover is significant for opposition fighters because it will help them “prevent the regime from advancing to Aleppo,” Syria’s second city, the war monitor added.
