Biden to address nation on Thursday morning

US President Joe Biden will address the nation on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. (1600 GMT), the White House said on Wednesday.

This comes after Biden’s Vice President Kamala Harris lost the 2024 election to former President Donald Trump.

Harris rose to the top of the Democratic ticket in July after Biden stepped aside and brought new-found enthusiasm and cash to the Democratic ticket, but she struggled to overcome voters’ concerns about the economy and immigration.
