Video: Massive wrecking ball hits woman’s vehicle
A large steel wrecking ball, which is usually used to demolish structures, struck the woman’s car in a horrific way during a leisurely drive in Northern Ireland. The car was totally wrecked in what looked like a scene out of a movie.
Unaware of the horrible scenario that was about to unfold, the woman and her buddy were driving when they came into danger.
Local media sources confirmed that there were no casualties as they heard screaming coming from inside the car after it collided.
Phoenix Energy, the business in charge of the site’s repairs, responded to the widely shared video footage on social media by confirming the incident’s veracity in a statement. They made it clear that the event happened on Shore Road in Newtownabbey on Tuesday, March 12.
Phoenix Energy clarified that the vehicle damage was caused by equipment related to their construction project, reiterating that maintaining road safety is still their top priority.
The business responded to the incident by announcing a “urgent investigation” and plans to improve road safety protocols to avert future events of this kind.
While individuals within the automobile were naturally shaken, no physical injuries were sustained, a business spokeswoman stated.
They also made it clear that the vehicle’s damage was caused by a piece of rubber testing equipment that is frequently used in these kinds of construction jobs.
After alerting the authorities to the incident, Phoenix Energy put extra safety precautions in place to avoid future occurrences of this kind of thing.
