Modern Family reunion: Sofía Vergara shares exclusive photos
In a heartwarming reunion, the beloved cast of “Modern Family” came together for an informal get-together, and Sofía Vergara offered fans a glimpse into the memorable event through a series of Instagram posts.
The actress, who portrayed Gloria Pritchett on the hit ABC comedy, shared four sets of photos and a video capturing the essence of the reunion.
In her first post, Vergara exclaimed, “First Modern Family reunion!!!!” accompanied by two heart emojis, setting the tone for the nostalgic gathering.
Expressing gratitude, she later wrote, “So lucky to have worked with these people for 11 years❤️. I love and miss u all guys!!! #modernfamily,” alongside a collection of photos featuring the entire cast, excluding Ty Burrell.
Among the highlights were Ariel Winter holding a photo of Burrell’s character, Phil Dunphy, Winter and Sarah Hyland posing together, and Vergara with Hyland, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and his husband, Justin Mikita.
The reunion also welcomed Ed O’Neill, Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet and his fiancée, Lindsay Schweitzer, as well as the younger cast members now all grown up—Rico Rodriguez, Nolan Gould, and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons. Co-creators Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan joined the celebration, making the reunion even more special.
Despite Ty Burrell’s absence, Vergara made sure to include him in the festivities. She posted a photo of her and on-screen husband O’Neill sitting together, a candid moment of laughter with Ferguson, and a heartfelt message to Burrell, saying, “We miss u Ty!!”
The reunion stirred fond memories for the cast and fans alike, highlighting the bond forged during the show’s 11-season run from 2009 to 2020. “Modern Family” left an indelible mark, earning 22 Emmys, including five consecutive wins for best comedy series over its impressive 250-episode journey.
