Zayn Malik Excites Fans by Posting Rare Behind the Scenes Snap

He welcomed his first child with girlfriend Gigi Hadid just a few weeks ago. 

And Zayn Malik excited fans on Friday evening by posting a rare behind the scenes snap of himself on social media, as he appeared to film a music video.

The 27-year-old singer is shown sitting atop an old stone bench, surrounded by a lighting team.

He wore an unbuttoned purple velvet shirt that showed off the numerous tattoos he has across his body.

The former X Factor star’s raven locks were in their classic quiff, while purple highlights in his hairdo matched his shirt.

Zayn’s mouth is slightly agape in the photo, while a team of photographers and assistants are seen bustling around in the foreground arranging what is evidently a photoshoot.

The setting for the shoot was a peaceful woodland glade, with sunlight filtering through and lighting up the greenery around Zayn.

Perhaps giving an insight into his current mood, Zayn profoundly captioned the post: ‘BETTER’.

Zayn’s latest social media post comes after an eventful period for the former 1D, who normally likes to shun the spotlight.

Last month he announced the birth of his and Gigi’s daughter in a touching social media post, calling their precious gift ‘healthy and beautiful.’

‘Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful’ the Pillowtalk singer wrote along with a black and white photo of his heavily tattooed hand holding on to his and the 25-year-old supermodel’s pride and joy.

To try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x’

Shortly after Gigi shared her own message, writing: ‘Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love.’

Zayn and Gigi are reportedly staying with Gigi’s mother Yolanda at her rural Pennsylvania farmhouse, where they have been staying together for most of the pandemic.

Gigi’s sister Bella also lived there for months, but recently returned to New York City.

Despite the stresses of the transition to motherhood, things seem to be going well for the catwalk star so far.

‘Gigi is very tired but is already an amazing mom,’ a source told E! News earlier this month. ‘The first couple of weeks have been a hard transition but she hasn’t complained and is very elated to be a mom.

‘They feel peaceful staying at [the Hadid farm] for now. Gigi wants the most privacy for their baby and wants to be able to raise her privately.’

Just two days after Gigi and Zayn announced their new baby, Zayn revealed his new music video Better on YouTube Friday, after a two-year music hiatus.

Zayn didn’t disappoint fans as he appeared on camera shirtless in his racy music video.

Excitement has been building for Zayn’s new release after the ex One Direction star posted a 14 second clip of the music video earlier that week, which comes two years after his second solo album ‘Icarus Falls’.

Revealing the title of the new song, ‘Better’ in a tweet to his 29.4million followers, Zayn gave a sneak-peek at the racy video which offered a glimpse of the star shirtless.

Zayn has been teasing his return to music for a number of weeks, posting an Instagram snap at the beginning of September with the caption ‘Got some stuff to show ya soon!’

Zayn’s 2018 album Icarus Falls received good reviews but peaked at just 61 on the US Billboard 200 and 77 on the UK Albums Chart.

The singer has been open about his struggles with anxiety which has led to him rarely performing live during his solo career.

During a 2017 interview with Vogue, the star admitted: ‘I always feel like I’m trying to work through whatever certain issues are around certain subjects.’
