US to end waivers permitting European, Chinese, Russian work at Iran nuclear plants

The United States will be ending sanctions waivers that have permitted European, Chinese, and Russian companies to carry out work at certain Iranian nuclear facilities, Reuters reported citing a source familiar with the matter.

Washington will, however, extend a waiver allowing work at Iran’s Bushehr nuclear plant for 90 days, according to the source.
The US decision would also end waivers that allowed work at Iran’s Arak heavy-water research reactor and Tehran research reactor, with 60-day wind down period.
