Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll is a Colombian singer. Born and raised in Barranquilla, she has been referred to as the “Queen of Latin Music”
And The Hips Don’t Lie singer is actually half Lebanese, as her grandparents on her father’s side were Lebanese immigrants who settled in New York.
2. Jade Thirlwall
Little Mix band member Jade Thirwall’s grandfather is Yemeni and grandmother is Egyptian, Thirlwall’s grandfather Mohammed moved to South Shields from Yemen in 1943.
3. Jerry Seinfeld
Jerry Seinfeld’s mother Née Hosni (Betty) was Syrian, and his father Kálmán Seinfeld immigrated to the United States from Hungary.
His mother, Betty, and her parents, Selim and Salha Hosni, were Jews from Aleppo, Syria. Their nationality was stated as Turkish when they immigrated in 1917, as Syria was under the Ottoman Empire.
