Hailey Bieber Defends Justin During Q&A for 'The Biebers On Watch' Show

Justin and Hailey Bieber are continuing to share how they’re adjusting to life in quarantine together.

Taking part in a Q&A for their The Biebers On Watch show on Friday, Justin talked in detail about his past struggles, his health battle with Lyme Disease and subsequent acne breakouts, and how he has turned to God to help him through troubled times.

“I always like to remember that God is in control, so I like to surrender my anxiety to him,” Justin told fans, when asked about how people can cope in these uncertain times amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The married couple are currently self-isolating together in Canada, and the singer admitted that he is loving being away from Los Angeles and surrounded by nature while they ride things out.

Justin, 26, revealed back in January that he had been diagnosed with Lyme’s Disease and that the autoimmune disease had greatly affected his skin, and said during the chat how the symptoms had made him ‘spiral with anxiety.’

When fans began commenting on his skin during the chat, his wife Hailey, 23, got protective saying: “Obviously it’s been a challenging process, it’s hard to be in the public eye and have people pick on you, for suddenly having adult onset acne breakouts.”

“After having perfect skin his whole teenage life, he is working on it. When we were in LA he was seeing a dermatologist… so leave him alone! He’s working on it! It’s not his fault,” she added.

Earlier, Justin expanded on how his Christian faith has helped him when he was recently suffering.

He explained: “A few months ago, I was struggling emotionally and mentally, none of the (material) things did anything because I was so hurt and I was confused and I was so sick. You can’t enjoy the actual physical, tangible things that money offers. It really had to come from within.”

“Going back to my faith in that time… it wasn’t money that got me through, taking the initiative to say I am struggling, I need help.”

While Justin praised wife Hailey for being there for him, he said it was “knowing that God was there for me” that made him pull through.

He said: “Reading the Bible, there’s always these stories in the Bible, whether it was healing them, Jesus was (saying) if our souls aren’t secure, all the other things… the facts are that Jesus forgives us for all the wrong we have done in our past. I was forgiven in a time when I was hurt and broken.”

Adding: “Money doesn’t solve all your problems, you always want what you don’t have. I have all these things… Sometimes I just want to be normal, the grass is always greener.”

While Hailey said: “Making money is a blessing, living comfortably is a blessing… and we’re definitely grateful for that.”

Elsewhere, Hailey began to talk about the importance of getting therapy while acknowledging that it was not available to everyone, which Justin interrupted with: “It costs money.”

The model replied saying “I know that” but explained that if people are able to call a therapist and get help during these testing times then they should.

Giving advice by sharing her self-care treatments, she said: “I feel like it’s really hard to stay motivated in quarantine.. Trying to push myself to get active every day, getting on Zoom with a trainer, has helped me mentally. It’s definitely good to feel that you’ve accomplished something.”

Talking about when his world tour will resume, Justin explained: “What we’re doing right now, is trying to figure out the best time… each place is different with quarantine rules, so we’re trying to make the right decision.

“As soon as we can get things rolling where it’s safe… that’s where we’re at that. I think we should stay away from giving them dates as we really have no idea.”
