Ed Sheeran put on an animated display as he performed while surrounded by flames at Boucher Road Playing Fields in Belfast on Thursday night.
The singer, 31, whipped the 80,000-strong crowd into a frenzy as he took to the stage on his live Mathematics tour.
Hitmaker Ed dressed all in black for his show, holding his guitar in front of him as he sung.
Pop star Ed announced to fans in December last year that he would be going on tour in 2022.
However, he revealed at the time that he plans on quitting huge tours in after this year in order to spend more time with his wife Cherry Seaborn and their daughter Lyra, 21 months.
Speaking on the Teach Me A Lesson podcast, Ed was asked what he would tell his older self and said he thought it was key he wouldn’t be ‘choosing work’ over family.
He said: ‘I would hate to get to 20 years’ time and have a relationship with my kids that had suffered because I’d chosen work over them.
‘I think the pattern I see a lot in my sphere, is if I could go back it would be this: “I would not miss this birthday and I would not go, yes I’ll play another stadium”.
‘I think it’s about finding the balance with that – and I honestly think that this next tour that I’m going on, at the end of the tour, I can’t see myself going on one of them like that again.’
Ed added that at most, he would be away for ‘six weeks in summer or six weeks in the winter’ to ensure he isn’t missing out on time with Cherry, 29, and Lyra.
He said: ‘I do think life is about passing things on to the next generation and I want to put as much time into my kids as possible.’
Ed and Cherry have been together since 2015 and married in 2019, welcoming daughter Lyra in August 2020.
He celebrated his wife’s 30th birthday with a sweet message on Instagram.
Ed posted a rare personal picture of himself and Cherry Seaborn as he celebrated his wife’s milestone birthday and captioned it: ‘HBD to ma baby mama. 30 looks good on you.’
Ed and Cherry tied the knot in 2019 and welcomed daughter Lyra Antarctica in 2020.
It comes after Ed’s touring income took a nosedive during lockdown.
The musician raked in £70.4million through gigs the year ending March 2020 but figures for 12 months on tell a contrasting story, with the Bad Habits hitmaker pocketing just £591.
Ed’s Divide tour – which comprised 260 shows across almost two and a half years (2017-2019) – was the highest grossing of all time, with him earning over £556million after selling 8.5million tickets across six continents.
The star took a hiatus from music and lucrative touring in December 2019 before making a triumphant return to the industry in December 2020.
He has since topped the charts once again with his acclaimed album, Equals.
A source told The Sun: ‘Ed’s accounts for his company Hayagotatourboi Touring make for funny reading.
‘He has absolutely raked it in from his tours and in the past three years the firm has made more than £250million.’
The source added that the global sensation made so much cash it amounted to him earning ‘£192,000 a day.’
‘But now he’s taken a break he’s living a little more like us, with a daily income of £1.62.’
The musician is worth an estimated £220million.
