Boy George Slams 'The Voice Kids' For Its 'Nasty' Treatment of The Children

The Culture Club singer, 59, is a former judge on The Voice UK and now works for The Voice Australia.

But he hit out at the children’s format which is currently airing on ITV, saying it is unfair for the judges to sit with their backs to the young singers.

He tweeted: ‘Against no turns on The Voice Kids. The patronising comments don’t work.

‘F*** teaching them to be tough. It’s nasty.’

On the latest episode of the popular reality show, several children were rejected by judges, Paloma Faith, Pixie Lott and Danny Jones.

Boy George’s comments could upset bosses of the show where he is currently a coach in Australia alongside Kelly Rowland, Delta Goodram and Guy Sebastian.

It comes after he revealed he uses astrology to give him an advantage on the show.

The pop star told 9Now that he gets some help from the cosmos when it comes to dealing with Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian and Kelly Rowland.

Delta’s star sign is Taurus, which means George knows she is ‘practical and emotional’ but also ‘highly stubborn’.

‘If you look up the word stubborn in the dictionary, there’s a picture of Delta looking gorgeous,’ he said with a laugh.

Former Australian Idol winner Guy is a Scorpio, which makes him ‘strong and opinionated’ but also a ‘peacemaker’.

‘So what Guy does is he’ll say something b***hy and when you pull him up on it, he’ll go, “Oh no, I was only joking!” George explained.

George also isn’t surprised by Aquarian Kelly’s long-running feud with Guy.

‘Aquarians get up in the morning and sit down and go, “How can I make my life more difficult today?” he said.

The former Culture Club singer said that astrology helps him forgive his co-stars when they cause drama on set because he knows they often ‘can’t help it’ as their behaviour is written in the stars.
